This book cover concept was designed as part of my illustration coursework for my Studio Art minor at Arizona State University.
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark
I chose to play with the composition in the illustration to allow for a more poignant end result. I wanted to highlight the essence of the book by taking inspiration from both the title, and this quote
“You’ll be silent forever, and I’ll be gone in the dark,” you threatened a victim once.
Open the door. Show us your face.
Walk into the light.”
The original illustration was created using Procreate, and the text was later added in Photoshop.
